Studying in Vidya Bharati School till 5th standard shaped his life said Alumnus Aloukike Das

Shri Aloukike Das, an alumnus of Vivekananda Sishu Mandir, Chanchal, Malda, has studied in the school till 5th standard. 

“During my time the school only had classes till 5. So I studied there till 5th standard and then had to move to another school. But these early years of my school days have helped me to shape the rest of my life”, said Aloukike at the beginning of the conversation. 

Aloukike, a Masters in Hospital Management, is currently working as a Human Resource professional with Peerless Hospital, Kolkata. 

He feels that his school had been his second home where he learned the most. As a child he was taught to respect the teachers and parents, which has helped him to treat those older than him with respect all through his life and even at workplace now. 

His work includes interviewing the right candidates for the Hospital for which he needs to talk to a lot of people. “I gained the confidence of interacting with those I know or may not know through my school. We used to have cultural programs where I would participate and it gave me a confidence boost”, mentioned Aloukike. 

Although due to a busy schedule and his current job location, which is in a different city, he is not able to attend programs of his school, but he keeps in touch with his fellow batch mates and teachers whenever he can.
