Paddy Harvesting class in Vidya Bharati school

It was a unique experience for students of Laxmi Narayana Purappetta Saraswati Vidya Mandiram to learn about manual paddy harvesting. The project aims to make students learn the cultivation process, right from sowing seeds, watering and harvesting. Recently, students visited fields to know how harvesting was done traditionally. Agriculture Officer explained about paddy cultivation, types of paddy, area covered and measures taken by farmers to improve productivity. Teachers and Managing Committee members also participated in the program.
