Sri Bhavik Sharva is an alumnus of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School (2007 batch). He had graduated from Government College, Bagbahara and presently working in Block Janpad Panchayat office. Mr. Sharva has been working there for more than 7 years now. In a brief interview with him, Mr. Sharva talks about his journey.

Interviewer: What role has Vidya Bharati and your school has played in your life so far?

Mr. Sharva:  I have done my entire schooling from Vidya Bharati and l have always felt extremely grateful that I received the opportunity to do so. My school  has helped me to be disciplined in my daily life and always respect my elders. All these lessons in ethics have helped me alot to grow as a person and maintain life work balance.

Interviewer: What inspired you to stay connected with your school, in spite of having a busy schedule?

Mr. Sharva: Our school has always laid emphasis on connectivity and organises yearly alumni meets. This has helped us to stay in touch with each other, our teachers and our juniors. It feels like meeting an extended family and we make it a point to stay in touch and help each other when in need. It is an event that I always look forward to.

Interviewer: Why did you choose your present career?

Mr. Sharva: Our villages are the backbone of our country. Self sufficient and smoothly working villages can help to strengthen the economy of our country. Janapad Panchayat offices coordinate all the activities of the villages of the Panchayat in each block, thus by working here I get the opportunity to work from the grassroots level and serve my country from the base level.

Interviewer:  would you like to share any message with the community?

Mr. Sharva: The only message that I would like to share with the students that they should always remember the lessons learnt by them during their school days and help to carry forward the culture to their next generation. Learning is not only about studying and having good marks, but it’s also about becoming a wise and socially responsible person.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Shri Sri Bhavik Sharva for taking out time and sharing his story with the community.
