India is home to a fifth of the world's youth. These young people are shaping the future of India through their hard work and compassionate heart. The very young Keshav Gupta, an alumnus of Swami Vivekanand Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Rajendra Nagar Sahibabad is a perfect example of dynamic segment of the country.
After completing his 12th class with commerce, he joined a private course to pursue his B.Com degree. “I did not join a regular course for two reasons. Firstly, I did not get the subject of my choice and secondly, I thought continuing with my social work would be difficult if I join a regular course”, mentioned Keshav, who also plans to complete his Masters through a private course and prepare for the UPSC examination.
Keshav also works as a partner of his uncle’s dry cleaning business. To expand the business, he brought in and implemented fresh ideas like a free door-to-door pick-up and drop of washable clothes. He carries his books to work and whenever he gets, even if a little time, he studies.
Keshav works as a volunteer with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “As and when a program is organized by RSS, I take part in it”, mentioned Keshav.
During his free time he teaches poor children for free. “I have studied in a school where I was taught to lend a helping hand to those in need. So I started doing various social work since my school days”, adds Keshav.
