Ranganath Audam: After completing by schooling and graduation, I went on to do  my M.Com and PGDIRM degree. I am also an FCA (Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). I am a Gold medalist in Commerce from Osmania University (2004 batch). At present I am working as a civil servant at the Ministry of Finance, Govt of India, as an Assistant Director in Central GST department. Apart from my government job, I am a visiting faculty at National Institute of Customs Indirect Taxes and Narcotics.

Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?

Ranganath Audam:  I am really passionate about education, and involve myself with with different kinds of activities that promotes the same. I along with my batch mates have donated furniture worth approximately 3 lakhs to primary schools in 2018. We have also helped to build infrastructure in the schools like toilet blocks and compound walls as its my belief that proper infrastructure is an integral part of quality education.

Alongside financial assistance we also help small schools to improve their overall  student strength and reputation.

Interviewer: How you are associated with Vidya Bharati and what impact did it have in your life?

Ranganath Audam: I belong to a family, which have been associated with RSS for the last 50 years. All my family members are purva chatra of Sri Saraswathi Shishumandir school, which comes under Vidyabharati and at some point of time or the other, acted as coordinators of Purva Chatra Parishad. I have grown up seeing people around me who have dedicated their entire life to the cause of this institution.

Vidya Bharati schools promotes nationalism and helps its students to get in touch with their cultural heritage. It encourages all round development of children rather than one dimensional theoretical knowledge. It makes me feel proud to be a part of this family and honoured to serve it.

Interviewer: What changes you would like to see in the educational system of Vidya Bharati?

Ranganath Audam: In our state, Vidya Bharati schools held the prestige of being the leading schools in Telugu medium. However, over a period of time student strength has reduced due to non introduction of English language as a part of the overall education system. We are working on bringing positive changes with the aim of reclaiming the glorious past.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Ranganath Audam for taking out time and sharing his thoughts with the community.
