Story of a Vidya Bharati Alumni Shri Manoranjan Shahi, a successful Banker

Shri Manoranjan Shahi, an alumnus of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Gumla, Jharkhand is a banker by profession for almost a decade. He shared his experiences via a short interview which has been given below.

Shri Manoranjan Shahi has done his schooling from Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Gumla, up to class 10th from where he passed out in the year 2003.  After that, he passed out of class 12th in the year 2005 from Kartik Oraon College (KO). He completed his B.Sc in the year 2009, from the same college in Chemistry (Hons). He joined M.Sc but then after 6 month of course he dropped his studies as he had got the opportunity to join ‘SBI Bank’. After sometime, he joined ‘Bank of India’ and continued working there till 1 and a half years. Then again he joined SBI Bank in 2012, and is still continuing there as a Relationship Manager in Jamshedpur.

Mr. Shahi stays with his parents and wife in Jamshedpur. His father is a Lawyer. He is involved with several social services as well. He arranges for relief funds during natural disasters and donates regularly to various orphanages like Vivekananda Anath Vidyalaya. He has also distributed food items during Covid 19 lock down.

While speaking with the alumni portal team, Mr. Shahi stated that Vidya Bharati is like a second home for him. For all his achievements in life as of now, he thanks his school and teachers. He also said that the right educational environment is highly crucial for the complete development of a child and all Vidya Bharati schools provide such an atmosphere to its students. Thus he wishes that in future may more students of our country get the opportunity to study under Vidya Bharati schools.
