Shri Ravi Kant Rathi, is an alumnus of Adarsh Vidya Mandir Sec. School, Pokaran, where he had studied till 8th standard. By profession, he is a Chartered Accountant. Recently Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra alumni portal team sat down for a short interview with him, which is as follows:

Interviewer:  Kindly tell us something about your professional and academic background.

Mr. Rathi : I am an alumni of Adarsh Vidya Mandir Sec. School, Pokaran. I have studied under Vidya Bharati till class 8 and there after that I went to Govt Senior Secondary School for completing my class 12th. After my schooling, I have done my graduation in B.Com  (Hon.) from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur.

Parallely I had also started my preparation for CA and given exams. I completed my CA and B.Com degree almost simultaneously. Meanwhile I have also done my article ship during my college days. Just after becoming a CA, I  joined ‘Today Green Energy Pvt ltd,’ where I worked there for a year and gathered necessary experience before starting my own practice. Presently I am a practicing CA in Pokhran.

Interviewer:  Please  tell us something about your family background

Mr. Rathi :  I am originally from Pokhran, Rajasthan, where I stay with my family and work as well. My father and brother run a grocery shop and my mother and wife are home makers.

Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?

Mr. Rathi : Under Vidya Bharati, we have been taught to think about and serve others before oneself. So I had decided to help others through what I know best, and that is numbers. I have been a Treasurer in Adarsh Vidya Mandir and thus helped them to check and maintain their accounts, free of cost. Also I am a Treasurer of Simajan Kalyan Samiti, where I contribute whenever required along with few of my friends.

I visit my school very frequently. In fact, my niece also goes to the same school.

Interviewer:  Do you want to say something about your school or Vidya Bharati in general?

Mr. Rathi : As I have mentioned earlier, it was my school that taught and inspired me to serve my society. It helped me to give a new depth and meaning to my life, for which I am very thankful.

My teachers have taught me to identify and acknowledge the marid range of difficulties and hurdles that each of us face in daily life and be considerate in our approach. I hope that future students will also learn them and be empathetic in their daily life.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Shri Ravi Kant Rathi for sharing his views with the alumni community.
