Shri, Saurabh Singla, an alumnus of Adarsh Bal Mandir High School, Punjabi Chowk, Narwana, has studied from class 7th till class 10th in this school. Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team has interviewed him. His story has been given below:

Interviewer:  Kindly tell us something about your professional and academic background.

Saurabh: I am an alumnus of Saraswati Adarsh Bal Mandir High School, Punjabi Chowk, Narwana. I have studied in Vidya Bharati School from class 7th till class 10th and before that I was studying in S.D Public School, Narwana. After my 10th, I have completed my 12th from S.D Public School. After my schooling, I have done my graduation in B.COM from SOL College, Delhi University. Then I have done my post graduation in M.COM from GJU, Hisar. I have also pursued my M.B.A degree from GJU in Finance as a distance learning course. At the time of graduation, I had also started studying CA, but then dropped the plan and moved for my masters.

Currently, I give tuitions for classes 11th & 12th for Business accounts and Law, Cost, FM etc for B.COM students in a tuition centre. Also recently, I have opened my own centre in Narwana. I am keen to teach in schools as well. I am also preparing for the UGC Net exam as well.

Interviewer:  Kindly tell us something about your family background.

Saurabh: I stay at Narwana with my family. My family consists of my father, mother and younger sister. My father owns a grocery shop in Narwana.

Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?

Saurabh: I have been associated with many small kinds of social service in my school. I have been involved in blood donation camps in my school. In this lockdown, I have helped in sanitization of my locality and contributed financially for the same as well. Sometimes I have also contributed towards maintenance of Gaushala.

I have been taught to think about and serve others before oneself by my school, teachers and parents. Thus, I have always tried to associate myself with whatever social work maximum I can do.

Interviewer:  Do you want to say something about your school or Vidya Bharati in general?

Saurabh:  Nowadays I have seen that students focus more on memorizing their studies and not understanding it. I feel students should concentrate more on understanding their studies so that it will help them for their future as well. They should understand the subject matter in depth.

Rest, we should be nationalistic and patriotic and always follow our culture.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Mr. Saurabh for sharing his views with the alumni community.
