Shri Parmeshwar Kejriwal, an alumnus of Sarada Sishu Teertha, Suryasen Colony, comes from a long established business family and cloth merchants residing in Siliguri area of West Bengal. Growing up he always aimed to join his family business, so he followed an academic path that would help to back his career goals.

Mr. Kejriwal studied in Sarada Sishu Teertha, till class 5 and then joined a local English Medium school. After completion of his schooling, he graduated with a B.Com degree that would come in handy when he took over the family business. For the past 15 years he has been running his successful clothing business, ‘Rajkumar Basudev’ in Siliguri Town. It is one of the well-known companies, known for its quality handloom pieces.

As stated above his family consisting of his father, mother, brother, two married sisters, wife and child are all residents of Siliguri. His siblings are all alumni of Vidya Bharati as well.

Since passing out from Vidya Bharati, Mr. Kumar has kept a close tie with his school.  For many years he has been associated with the alumni association of the school, ‘Praktan Vidyarthi Sangha’ and held important positions in the association. The group organised different cultural events and alumni meets in the school. They also published a magazine, whose contents were compiled by the alumni of the school.

Speaking about his continued association with his childhood school, Mr. Kumar pointed out that the positive  impact that his school has had on his life during his formative years, made him give a special place in his life to the institution and its teachers in spite of  spending very little time there. He said the love, respect and familial feeling that he still receives in his school, is something that has been missing from his other educational institutes. According to him the teachings that he received as a child formed the core of his personality and he continues to follow them till date. Furthermore he urged all the Vidya Bharati students to follow the lessons taught to them at school, which would surely help them to bring success in their future lives as well.

Along with running a successful business, Mr. Kumar is a philanthropist at heart and associates himself regularly with different forms of social projects. He has been a long time member and President of ‘Marwari Yuva Manch’, which is a pan India association with approximately 750 to 800 branches. They have several social projects running under them, including providing artificial limbs to children, Natural disaster relief and clothes distribution to name a few.
