Mr. Kumar : It has been my privilege to study not only in one but two Vidya Bharati schools.Till class 5, I had studied in Saraswati Shishu Mandir ,Keshavpuri, Muzaffar Nagar,Uttar Pradesh and then completed my 12th from Lala Jagdish Prasad Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Jansath Road, Muzaffar Nagar.

Being always fascinated with science and technology, I decided to do my graduation from Subharti Institute Of Technology and Engineering, Meerut, which is under Uttar Pradesh Technical University (U.P.T.U.) Lucknow. Presently I am posted in Gurgaon and work as an engineer in the IT sector.

Interviewer: You have spoken about being associated with social work, can you please elaborate on that?

Mr. Kumar : yes, I have been associated with social work since the starting of my professional career. I have contributed from time to time to diverse social causes, but education is something that is close to my heart. For the past one year, I have been involved with ‘Sanshil Foundation’ which is mentored by Comviva Technologies Ltd. Gurgaon.

The foundation is a non-profit organization aimed at providing education to underprivileged children, so that they can be prepared to join mainstream schools. For children who have received primary education, the foundation tries to impart training so as to integrate them into the society at the right age with self-sustainable employment and vocational opportunities.

Interviewer: What are your thoughts about your school or Vidya Bharati in general?

Mr. Kumar : It is quite difficult to sum up all my experiences regarding Vidya Bharati in a few words, but no matter what my schools have had a lot of positive impact on my life and helped me to become essentially a positive and well grounded individual. The institution has taught me the importance of respecting elders, leading a disciplined life style, serving people in need and brought me closer to my cultural roots. For all these I can only be thankful for getting the opportunity to be a part of Vidya Bharati community.

Interviewer: Would you like to share any message with Vidya Bharati students?

Mr. Kumar : From my own experience, I urge the students to always remember all the values that are being taught to you by your school. You might not realise its importance now, but in future, life will make you understand how crucial these teachings are.

Lastly I am also thankful to Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad for helping alumni like us to stay connected with our school and each other.
