Interviewer: Arya first of all congratulations on the incredible performance in your University examinations. Can you briefly account your educational journey so far?

Arya: I studied at Sree Saraswathi Vidyalayam, Kailasam, Kilimanoor, Trivandrum, which is under Vidya Bharati, till 7th standard and then shifted to another school to complete my schooling. After that, for graduation I got admitted under Kerala University with a BA in Sanskrit. I just completed my graduation this year.

Interviewer: Now that you have completed your graduation, what are your future plans?

Arya: Now I am planning to do an MA in Sanskrit and then probably go for higher studies. I have always been interested in pursuing a career in academics, so after MA I will either become a school teacher or do a PhD and become a professor of Sanskrit.

Interviewer: Why did you take up ‘Sanskrit’ as your chosen subject of study?

Arya: Throughout my schooling, I had ‘Sanskrit’ as my second language and always scored well as I liked the subject. When I grew up, my love for the subject led me to choose it as a future course of study. The language is a big part of our Indian culture, and I feel that it is our responsibility to gift this rich heritage to our future generations.

Interviewer: Tell us something about your family

Arya: Our family are residents of Trivandrum district of Kerala. We are four members, consisting of my father, mother, younger brother and me. My father is a conductor by profession.

Interviewer: How was your experience at your school?

Arya: I studied under Vidya Bharati till 7th standard. I wish that I could do my entire schooling under Vidya Bharati, as the experience was life changing. Our teachers were very supportive and encouraging towards their students and the school felt like a second home. I am still in contact with few of my teachers and would like to take the opportunity to thank them all for helping me to become what I am today.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad congratulates Arya Suresh for her achievement and wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.
