‘A school has the power to transform the life of its students’ - we have often heard this statement in our life, but one Vidya Bharati alumnus proved the truthfulness of the same through his life’s work.

Mothuku Naresh Kumar is an alumnus of Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir Siddipet, Telangana. After completion of his schooling and graduation he took up the job as a teacher in a private school, Santiniketan High School, Siddipet  from the year 2007 to 2009. Later on he did his MSc in Physics (2012 - 2014 ) from Kakatiya University Campus, Warangal, Telangana.

While he was moving ahead in his life comfortably, the news that his childhood school has shut down in 2011 saddened him greatly. He wanted to restart the school which had an immense impact on his life but did not feel confident enough to do so. During this time, Mothuku Naresh Kumar Ji’s physics lecturer at his university Mr. Venkatesham helped and motivated him to reopen the school.

After making up his mind to face the challenge of restarting the school, Mothuku Naresh Kumar Ji came back to Siddipet in the year 2015. Though he received a lot of help from Mr Arkamadla Ishwaraiya, Vidyapeetham district President during his endeavour,  Mothuku ji had to face a lot of struggle in the initial phase. The school started with only 6 students, there were financial problems and Mothuku Ji spent all his life savings to launch the school. There were times where he was not able to give salaries to the teachers for months.

In spite of all these complications, Mothuku ji never gave up on his dream. Armed with his unyielding will power, he was able to set up the school successfully and it grew from strength to strength under his leadership. In the short span of four years, the school has grown to accommodate 121 students, 8 teachers and 2 non teaching staff.  Presently the highest class of the school is till 4th standard and Mothuku ji who is now the ‘Pradhanacharya’ (Principal) of school has plans to increase it further very soon.

Till date Mothuku ji has not drawn a single salary from the school and dedicated his entire life to the service of the society, through education. His commitment and devotion for his school is truly admirable.
