Being a teacher is probably one of the most respectable professions all over the world and more so in India. The importance of teachers has been mentioned since time immemorial in our ancient texts and their position in a student’s life cannot be refuted by any means as a  good teacher has the capability to change the course of a student's life for the better.

Mr. Kavya Saurabh Verma, who is an alumnus of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Vanvata Gunj , Moradabad, UP  was immensely influenced by his teachers and had the desire to become one when he grew up as well.  After completion of his masters and B.Ed degrees, his desire was fulfilled and he was soon appointed as a teacher in Vidya Bharati school, Krishna Bal Vidya Mandir, Mangupura.

His passion for teaching was not limited to his school only, as he wanted to reach out to as many students as possible.  After undergoing several hardships, Mr. Verma successfully established his own teaching center ‘Shakespeare Academy’ in Mansarover colony, Moradabad in 2016. At his academy he teaches spoken English to approximately 30 students from classes 9 to 12 and conducts three classes per day.

Along with teaching at Krishna Bal Vidya Mandir and his academy, Mr. Verma is an ardent social worker. To help children from financially weak backgrounds, Mr. Kavya has set up a charity fund. He personally visits all schools in Moradabad, to spot students who are in need of help and then uses the money from the fund  to support the education of the selected students. Till date school fees of approximately 28 students has been provided by Mr. Verma’s charity. Assistant teacher, Mr. Anurag Sukla, has also helped Mr. Kavya immensely in this endeavour.

Talking about the impact that his school has had in his life, Mr. Kavya stresses upon the the fact that it was his school that had inspired him to become a teacher as well as a social worker and he feels extremely grateful to have studied in a Vidya Bharati school.  He hopes that he would be able to inspire and guide his students in the same manner that his school had done for him.

Mr. Verma would also like to request all Vidya Bharati students to stay connected with their school even after completion of their studies.

Mr. Kavya Saurabh Verma’s passion for education and social service makes him a role model and an inspirational figure  for his students.
