Alumni Dilip Kr Sharma changes personal tragedy into triumph for the needy through 'Rakt Dan Maha Dan Samiti'

Experiencing personal adversity can either break someone or can make them stronger and reach out to more people who are going through the same difficult phase. Adv. Dilip Kumar Sharma, alumnus of  Saraswati Vidya Mandir Sheopur, MP, choose the later and decided to stand beside those in need.

Mr. Sharma, who is an Executive Member of High Court Bar Association, Gwalior and an advocate by profession, had undergone through a trying time when an accident made him bed ridden for almost three years. It was during this traumatic period, that he realized the relevance of blood donations, which had helped to save his life. Not letting his personal tragedy stop him, he founded the organizationRakt Dan Maha Dan Samiti in 2012.  

After making a full recovery in 2015 Mr. Sharma, alongside rejoining his profession, put all his effort behind strengthening his organization.  He conducted meetings across India which helped him to develop a strong group of approximately 6000 active blood donors across India. He also opened a 24hrs call center in 2016 to help connect those in need of blood to closest donors.

Mr. Sharma is an active lifetime member of Indian Red Cross Society since 2016, which further enabled him to reach out to a wider range of people in need through Red Cross. He has been honoured with different national level awards for his passionate and selfless work.

He is thankful towards his senior, advocate Sanjay Dwivedi , advocate Prashant Sharma and all the donors who has helped him to make this organisation a success.

His message to the community :  It is not necessary that you can help the society only through blood donation. There are several causes in our country that needs your support. Choose anyone and help. Even the smallest contribution from your end can bring everlasting impact.
