One cannot deny the fact that children and youth are the future of any nation. Thus all round development of this young population is of highest importance for any country.

Alumni Manish Manjul started his own trust SAMARTH to empower children and youth of our country with the belief that every individual has the capability to contribute towards nation building.

Mr. Manjul is an alumnus of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Sr. Sec School, Subhas Chandra Bose Nagar, Suryakund, Gorakhpur and Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Nirala Nagar, Lucknow. He is a nationalist at heart who has grown up dreaming about serving his motherland in every possible way. He has worked in several organisations related to social development in his long career.  He was associated with ‘Vishwa Hindu Parishad’ (Delhi) and ‘Arundhati Vashisht Anusandhan Peeth’, Prayagraj (Allahabad). In 2015, Manish Manjul started working under the mentorship of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam –for Lead India (Mera Samarth Bharat) 2020 mission. The main intent of the organisation was to empower millions of High School Children as responsible citizens through value-based education and skill development.

 In the year 2007 he started ‘Samarth Trust’ in Gorakhpur, which was built in accordance to the vision of  late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, with the aim of “Facilitating a Holistic Environment for Nation Building through Individual Development”. The mission of ‘SAMARTH’ is to empower local communities and bring positive changes in the life of desirous sections of the society, specifically the youth through value based education, inculcating leadership qualities, attitudinal transformation and national character building along with appropriate knowledge and skill development.

The organisation holds regular workshops and counselling sessions in schools . Few of the topics that are dealt with during the workshops are as follows:

  • Goal evaluation

  • Maintaining a positive attitude in any situation and skill of positive decision making

  • Skills development

  • Importance of Values and culture

  • Philosophy of life 

  • Developing clear picture of  in every stage of life and how to deal with tough situations

  • Gender equality etc

‘SAMARTH’ has several projects running under it, such as:

  • ‘CARRIED’ (Center for Advanced Research, Reference, Information and Enhanced Documentation) – a project for national renaissance and rejuvenation

  • ‘SHRI’ – Samarth Health Research Institute,

  • ‘Paandulipi’ – e-library,

  • ‘VASUDHA’ – environment protection and animal welfare

  • ‘Editorial’ – global editorial watch

  • ‘Takshashila’ – ‘e-university’

  • ‘Vishwa Dhaam’ – digital documentation of India’s historical, spiritual and monumental heritage 

  • ‘YAGNA’– excellence by knowledge with yoga

  • ‘MERA SAMARTH BHARAT’ –  facilitating a holistic environment for nation building through individual development

Late Shri Mohan Lal ji, father of Manish Manjul devoted his life for the development of Vidya Bharati and Mr. Manjul aims to walk in his father’s footsteps by serving his nation.
