“While I was in school, I had taken part in various activities of social welfare organized by my school. It was from my school that the feeling of giving back to the society grew in me and I decided to dedicate all my life to help those in need”, said Praveen Shukla.

Dongargarh celebrates Krishna Janmasthami in a grand way.  Praveen not only loved to participate in the celebration but also actively organizes Krishna Janmasthami Jhanki in several places of the city along with organizing several prominent Hindu festivals.

“Organizing these festivals is important for the society. It helps in bringing people together and helps them to express devotion to the deities”, Praveen adds.

Praveen has a younger brother, who is preparing for police service and a younger sister, who is preparing for IAS examinations. All the three siblings are alumni of of Sarswati Shishu Mandir Dongargarh.

Apart from his service towards the society, Praveen takes keen interest in painting. While he was in school, he liked painting more than studying. His teachers always encouraged him to do what he loved the most, which has certainly helped him to gain confidence in life.
