In today’s competitive world, an individual needs to be totally ready before joining the workforce. In such a scenario good academic performance is only a part of the whole. Along with education, soft skills and overall presentation plays a huge role in landing the dream job or impressing one’s business clients. Proper grooming and professional appearance are important to gain not just positive impression but also respect in the workplace. First impressions matter and the way one  looks and carries themselves helps to create a positive image on others.

Vidya Bharti alumni Mr. Shobit Dixit has an experience as Hospitality and Housekeeping Trainer in DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) programme and also helps students to become job market ready. In a brief interview, Mr. Dixit talked about his work and his experience as a Vidya Bharati alumni.

Mr. Dixit is an alumni of Anandi Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Naipalapur, Uttar Pradesh and has a B.Sc and MBA degrees. He has given services as a Hospitality and Housekeeping Trainer in DDU-GKY programme for 2015-2018, as well as been Placement Coordinator in both DDU- GKY and PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) Programmes, under the government of India.

Along with his work related commitments, Mr. Dixit provides fee of cost training to students of various Vidya Mandirs  and Govt colleges. He trains the students on how to appear for interviews, overall grooming and personality development. He also provides grammar and motivational classes as per the need of the candidate.

As for the process first of all he has a short conversation with the students in order to understand them and identify their key problem areas. He meets them via video calls to improve their weak areas and groom their positive aspects. He also works on drafting their Resumes and suggests suitable options for their careers.

According to Mr. Dixit, all students need to undergo such training, to be able to be better prepared for the job market. He finds immense satisfaction to be able to help the next generation in pursuit of their dreams.

Mr. Dixit is a philanthropist at heart and always ready to help those in need. Since 2007 he has been attached with several social service  projects like Tree plantation awareness, Hygiene education, Labour support and disaster management.

While speaking about Vidya Bharati, Mr. Dixit pointed out the students of the institution have more rounded personalities than that of other students due to its unique method of education. Along with academics, the students are made aware of the ‘Sanatan Culture’ and the rich Indian heritage. Proper ‘sanskar’ accompanied with varied art forms and physical education, results in more grounded and sorted personalities, who are aware of their responsibilities, strengths and weaknesses.

Vidya Bharati has a special place in his life and he is connected with several Vidya Bharati  students and alumni over social media.

As a parting message, he urged all students and alumni to mork towards the development of our country and aim for excellence in all aspects of life.
