Story of a Vidya Bharati Alumni Shri Subhasish Dhar from Uttar Banga- a social worker and educator with experience of more than 17 years

Shri Subhasish Dhar, an alumnus of Sarada Shishu Tirtha, Mathabhanga, is a teacher and has an experience of more than a decade in the field. Along with serving the society through his profession, he is an avid social worker as well. Recently he shared his journey via a brief interview.

 

Mr. Dhar, being an excellent student during his school days, has passed out his class 3 from Sarada Shishu Tirtha, Mathabhanga and completed his 12th from Mathabhanga High School which is a Govt School. He was always a very good student and wished to make a career in academics. He has done his graduation from Mathabhanga College in English (Hons) for 3 years. After which he pursued his Master degree from CSJM University in English Literature. He had also done B.Ed from North Bengal University for 1 year. After completing the B.Ed degree, he started teaching in the year 2013 in English subject at Jorepatki Higher Secondary School for classes 5th to 12th.

 

He also believes in social service and is associated with various NGOs. There is a social platform named ‘Akhil Bhartiya Rastriya Shiksha Mahasangh’ (ABRSM) with which he is fully involved. This is a service related organization. There is one more NGO with which he is associated with is named as ‘Mathabhanga Nature and Trekking Association’. This NGO is related to Environment and was established 2 years back and since then. This organization does lots of nature protection oriented activities. They have also planned to start mountain trekking promotion free of cost very soon. 

 

While speaking with Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team, Mr. Dhar, expressed that his school has been a great pillar of support in all his achievements and progress. He said that the foundation building of any student is the most important part of personality development and that should be done with care. This foundation is built firstly at home and then at school, which is a second home for all. So at primary levels schools play a very important role in developing the personality of an individual. He also suggested that Vidya Bharati schools should make the students ready in such a manner that they are connected with their country through their heart.
