Parth Shukla is a young educator  from Delhi, who has been teaching students when he himself was a class 12 student. Recently he shared his story via a brief interview which has been mentioned below.

Interviewer: Kindly tell us something about your academic and professional background

Parth:  I am an alumni of Geeta Bal Bharti Sr. Sec. School, Rajgarh Colony, Delhi and I passed 12th from there with science. Presently I am doing my B.Sc degree (2nd year) from Deen Dayal college. Along with studying, I also work as an educator and run my own institution where I give tution to students ranging from class 9 to 12. I started teaching while still studying in class 12, thus I have been in this profession for more than 3 years.

Interviewer: After completion of your studies, what would you like to do in future?

Parth: I would like to continue teaching in future as well and become a professional educator. Initially I wanted to become a doctor. As I had to support my family financially, I did not get much time to pursue it. I took up teaching as my second career option because I liked to explain things that I have learned myself and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to help others learn new things.

Interviewer: What message would you like to give to those who want to take up teaching as a profession ?

Parth: With increased automation in all sectors of works due to advancement of technology, the scope is becoming limited in several fields. Teaching is the only profession where continued human interaction would be necessary in the future as well. Gradually physical classrooms might become obsolete and studies will move online, but no matter what the situation, teacher to student communication will remain an essential part of the education system.

Interviewer: Tell us something about your family.

Parth: I was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, but I was raised in Delhi. I have three members in my family. My father, who is a businessman, my mother, a homemaker and a younger sibling who is in class 10.

Interviewer: How will you describe your experience at your school?

Parth: I joined Geeta Bal Bharti in class 11, so if I compare it with my previous school, the main difference that I found is that generally other schools give stress only on academics and not much on anything else. Vidya Bharati schools take into consideration the overall development of the students and for that much importance is given to sports and extracurricular activities as well. Teachers and staff were also very patient and supported all the students in every aspect of their lives.

Interviewer: Would you like to give any message to your school?

Parth: There is nothing in our school that I would like to change. Yes nothing is perfect and there is always scope for improvement, but it is advancing on the right path. In our school, I have seen a lot of donations being made to support the education of students belonging to financially weak families, which I feel is a great initiative. Such support should be extended to more students, so that a larger number of  children can reap its benefits.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Parth Shukla for sharing his journey and experiences with the community. We wish him all the best for all his future endeavour.
