Becoming a teacher, an educator is one of the best ways that one can serve their nation’ - Nitin Kumar Chaturvedi

A nation can be often judged by the quality and competence of their teachers. Chanakya has rightly said “Teachers are makers of nation”. A country is made up of citizens, and future citizens are moulded by the teachers. They are the bringer of wisdom.

With the intention of serving his country, and guiding future generations, Shri, Nitin Kumar Chaturvedi, took up teaching school children, as his profession, in spite of holding a degree in MBA Marketing. Recently he shared his journey via a brief interview whose extract has been given below.

Interviewer: Nitin ji can you share your academic and professional background with us?

Mr.  Kumar:  I started my education at play school and then joined Gulkandi Devi Sr. Sec. A.V.M, Gangapur City, Jaipur, Rajasthan, where I had studied from class 1 to 10. For my 11th and 12th, I studied in the local governmental school.  I did my graduation in Bhagwati College with Geography, History and Political Science as my chosen subjects. For higher studies I did a Master's degree in Political science and later did MBA in Marketing from NIMS University, Jaipur.

Professionally, I am a teacher, associated with Vidya Bharati School, Gulkandi Devi Senior Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir and another local private school. I have been in this profession since 2011.

Interviewer: What made you take up teaching as a profession?

Mr.  Kumar:   I feel that teaching as a profession is one of the best avenues through which we can serve our nation. We as teachers have the responsibility to mould the perfect citizens for the future, who will in turn serve the country to their fullest potential with knowledge and humility.

Since a young age I have been interested in this profession. Although I have a MBA degree, I felt that this field would suit me the best.

Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?

Mr.  Kumar:  I am not directly associated with any kind of social work. My full focus is on the education sector, as I believe, it is the best way I can serve the society.

Interviewer: What about your family? Tell us something about them.

Mr.  Kumar:  My family are residents of Gangapur area of Jaipur, Rajasthan. I had lost my father when I was quite young. Currently my family consists of my mother, two sisters, my brother, wife and two daughters.

Interviewer: Please share with us your experiences regarding your childhood school.

Mr.  Kumar:  I have real fond memories of my school days, but what stands out the most is the attention to discipline and culture that has helped to develop our personalities for the better. Till now, I live a fairly disciplined lifestyle, whose foundation had been laid during my childhood.

Interviewer: Would you like to share any message with Vidya Bharati students?

Mr.  Kumar:  I would like to remind all Vidya Bharati students that they are extremely fortunate to have got the opportunity to study under the umbrella of such a unique institution - Learn to be disciplined, serve your nation well and stay focused on your career goals.
