Traditional Indian education system since Vedic times stressed on overall development of students. Knowledge was not limited to academic studies only but encompassed  development of moral, ethical and social values as well. Modern education system has gradually lost its connection with its cultural heritage leaving it lacking in several spheres.

Value based education in India is need of the hour, where the educators should be responsible for imparting moral social and professional values to the students so that they can grow up to become strong socially responsible citizens.

All Vidya Bharati schools are based on this kind of educational system and resulted in several  alumni continuing in spreading the message forward. One such alumni is Akanksha Bajpai of Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Motijheel, Kanpur.

The MBA pass out research associate has been a staunch believer of traditional education system from a very young age and has been spreading its importance  through talks in several events and institutions.

Akanksha from his school days was not only an excellent student academically,but also known for her versatility in extracurricular activities as well participating and winning in varied types of competitions.

Recently her passion for Indian culture and philosophy earned her recognition on international platform, when she gave her talk on ‘Value Based Education’ in 5th World Parliament of Science, Religion and Philosophy 2019, hosted by MIT World Peace University from 2nd to 4th October 2019. During her felicitation session she got got honoured by UNESCO chairperson and founder of MIT World Peace University, Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad.

The event witnessed the presence of about five hundred people from across the globe belonging to varied backgrounds such as scientists, philosophers, saints, educationists, social workers, Global scientists, students among others.
 

Akanksha applied for this event as a student speaker. In the first session, around 80 students gave audition and 19 got selected for the main speaker panel among which Akanksha was one.

Along with being a public speaker, Akanksha is associated with several NGOs educating and counselling needy children.She is also an active volunteer in Art of Living. 

Akanksha as the winner of 'College ke Tashanbaaz' in singing and acting for which she received award from the Kanpur's famous RJ's Purav and Sugandha.

She credits her school for imbibing her with love for Indian culture and Heritage. She hopes she can continue spreading the same message among Indian youth as well.
