Alumni Meet organised in Vidya Bharati's first school in Gorakhpur

On 12th January 2020, an alumni meet was organised in Vidya Bharati’s first school, Saraswati Shishu Mandir(10+2), Pakkibag, Gorakhpur, which was established in the year 1952. More than 1000 alumni attended the event.

Several dignitaries, including Shri Shiv Kumar Ji (Mantri, Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan), were present during the event. Shiv Kumar ji addressed the audience and shared his views on the necessity of  Vidya Bharati alumni portal in and in an effort to amalgamate all Vidya Bharati alumni, school and teachers on a single platform.

Prominent alumni of the school and attending dignitaries were felicitated during the event, including Shri. Anup Sarkari, who is the senior most alumni belonging to the first batch of the school 1952. Some alumni who shared their experience on stage:

• Mr. Aditya Prakash Verma (Deoria Traffic S.P., Gorakhpur)

• Dr. Srijal Srivastav (Dentist)

• Dr. Manglesh Kumar Srivastava

Vidya Bharati Alumni Portal team was also awarded on stage with Saraswati Ratna Samman 2020 for their help to the Purv Chatra Community.

Encouraged by the success and positive response during the event, the school is planning to organise a bigger event for the next year.
