Having studied in Saraswati Shishu Mandir Punad and then Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Uttarakhand, Nitesh could not continue with his higher education due to financial reasons. But, that did not stop him from marching ahead and helping those in need.

“I had to start working after completing my 12th class from Saraswati Vidya Mandir. Initially I worked in a few private firms doing sales jobs mostly in different places of Uttarakhand. But the education and guidance I received from my school made me return to my home and do something which will help those in need”, said Nitesh.

The very hardworking young guy that Nitesh is helps him to manage multiple social projects at the same time. While he organizes several blood donation camps and cleaning of communities under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, his primary focus remains on the education sector.

Nitesh is associated with Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana where he works as a Mobilizer. The project aims to transform rural poor youth into an economically independent and globally relevant workforce. Nitesh travels to remote villages of Uttarakhand to handpick the band of youth from financially restrained background and arrange for a computer training program for them. Once the training is completed they are given certificates and offered placement in various organizations.

“I usually meet the Sarpanch and explain about the scheme to him. Then we gather all the young people of the village between age group of 18 to 35 from poor background and tell them about this free course. Once the interested candidates register, we arrange for their training”, explained Nitesh.
