Ex Teacher Shri Pravas Misha shares his connection with Vidya Bharati

Shri Pravas Mishra, ex teacher of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Jeypore, Koraput, Odisha, has been connected with several social developmental work throughout his life, but among all his social work, educational development has always been closest to his heart.

Mr. Mishra, recognizing the importance of proper education in all round development of children and in turn the future of our country, took up the position of teacher in Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Jeypore.  According to him, poverty and education are inextricably linked. He feels education has the potential to become one of the primary means of social mobility, enabling those born into poverty to rise in society.

Mr. Pravas Mishra worked as a teacher, for one and a half years, which according to him was one of the most memorable period of his professional life. The satisfaction of molding the children to become  socially responsible adults with well grounded personalities was incomparable and enriching experience for him. Though presently he is working in British telecom for the past ten years, Vidya Bharati schools remains a significant part of his life, leading him to donate towards their development as well.

Apart from education, Mr. Mishra is also associated with slum development and holds the position of ‘basti pramukh’ in Faridabad where he is responsible for educational development, prevention of anti-social elements from flourishing, human resource development etc.

Mr. Mishara, further elaborates that his parents were the pillars of support all through his life and would like to urge all parents to understand and support their children in their life choices. He also congratulated Vidya Bharati for continuing to provide quality education to its students in a consistent manner with an emphasis on cultural knowledge as well. 

Mr. Mishra is a role model for several of his students and an inspirational figure for the youth.
