‘A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.’

Sri Pomaram Solanki ji has been associated with Vidya Bharati for the past 16 years and shared his experiences as a longtime Vidya Bharati teacher via a brief interview.

Pomaram ji, after completing his double Masters degree in the year 2003, started teaching from the year 2004. He did his schooling from a Govt school in Falna and his graduation from S.P.U College. He had done M.A in both Hindi and  Political Science from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University.

Pomaram ji has always aimed to become a teacher and feels blessed to get the opportunity to do what he loves, that is teaching Hindi to students from class 7th to 10th. Meeting the students and helping them by passing his knowledge , gives him immense pleasure. He feels that the work of the teacher is one of the most important in the society, as he/ she is responsible for building the future of the country.

He stays with his family in a village, which is 10 km away from Falna along with his wife, his mother and 2 children.

Apart from teaching, Pomaram ji is also a Karya karta in RSS and an active social worker. He believes that it is the responsibility of every individual to help others in need and teaches the same lesson to his students as well. According to him education is incomplete if a person is unable to learn his/her social responsibilities. He along with his students always try to help the victims of natural calamities whenever the situation demands.

As a parting message, Poonamji urged all Vidya Bharati alumni to stay in touch with their respective schools.Whenever necessity arises, they should always come forward and extend their helping hands in whichever capacity they can. They should remember their values and work for the betterment of their country.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad is extremely thankful to Sri Pomaram Solanki ji for sharing his thoughts with the community.
