‘A teacher is a multi-tasking educational idol who lives to inspire and loves to encourage. The Art of teaching is the Art of Assisting Discovery’

Nalin Kumar has been a Vidya Bharati teacher for more than two decades. Recently he shared  his experiences via an interview.

Mr Kumar has passed out of his class 10th from Ram Krishna Mission School, Ranchi and 12th from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ranchi. He had always excelled in his education and wanted to take up teaching as his profession. Thus  after completing his B.A degree from Ranchi College in Geography (Hons), he came to the teaching profession  in 1996.

He started his teaching in Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Barganda Giridh and is continuing still now. According to him , the respect and honour which he got as a teacher in Vidya Bharati schools, he would have never received, in any other institutions for sure.

Mr Kumar’s major subject is Computer. His teaching method has  always been  appreciated by the students and his hard work shows in his  student’s performances. He majorly teaches students of classes 6th to 10th in this School.

Mr Kumar stays with his family in Giridih itself. His father and wife are there in his family and his son is working in Hyderabad in Amazon.

Apart from teaching, Mr Kumar is also an Intellectual head in RSS for Zila. He always takes initiatives in joining hands to help people who have been hit by natural calamities like floods, cyclones etc. He has helped many small towns who are deprived of basic needs. He believes in social service and has always taught his students to help those who are in need.

In Vidya Bharati schools, students are taught to respect their teachers and follow the path shown by them. Hence all the teachers have the added responsibility to become good role models and exceptional leaders to their students as well.

He says only getting a good job should not be the main motto of any student in his/her life. Firstly they should become a good human being and understand their own country and serve the nation, and then only they can achieve the best in life.

VidyaBharatiPurvChatraParishad is extremely thankful to Mr Nalin Kumar for sharing his inspirational story with the community.
