Doctors in our country have always been regarded with respect due to their noble profession, but it is quite rare to find those who go beyond their call of duty to help others.
This sentiment has been remarkably exemplified by well known surgeon Dr. Anil Aggarwal. He is an alumnus of SMB Gita Senior Secondary School , Kurukshetra (1974 batch) Haryana.
Recently Red Cross Society organized a program in Chandigarh to recognise Dr. Aggarwal’s extraordinary contribution in the field of social work and medicine. During the event he received state level award and was presented with a gold medal by the Governor of Haryana, Shri Satyadev Narayan Arya.
Dr. Aggarwal received this honour for his dedicated and selfless service to the society. In his lifetime, he has organised numerous fee health camps and performed more than 500 operations free of cost. He himself has donated blood over 120 times.
Previously he has also been honored 12 times by several other states for his extraordinary work. In his professional life Dr. Aggarwal has been applauded numerous times for performing difficult surgeries. Recently he was presented with the highest order fellowship by International College of Surgeons, America.
Dr. Aggarwal’s dedication towards his profession and passion towards serving the society is truly an inspiration.
